The i-Free Ventures Fund was established in 2011 and already funded three technology companies so far. Having a long-term technology and management expertise we are happy to offer it to our portfolio companies in order accelerate its growth. Therefore we do not limit our focus only on the Russian market and are eager to help your team to achieve success in Europe, Asia and the USA.

In our choice we focus not only on perspective projects but also on personalities as for we believe a project’s team is a guarantee of future success.

Who are we looking for

We are funding projects in the Internet and mobile technologies from Seed Stage to Early Growth Stage. Projects with already proven business models focused on existing markets, complicated technological projects focused on segmented markets and also projects with unclear monetization models are to be considered.

i-Free field of  interests: applications for mobile platforms (handheld, smartphones), applications for so-called Post-PC platforms (Tablet PC, TVs), digital media (incl. mobile), mobile and browser games, e-commerce and the web-services.

Especially actual are the following projects:
• NFC (Near Field Communication),
• AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture),
• AR (Augmented Reality),
• Location Services (Location Loyalty and GeoSocial),
• Frequent Commuters Loyalty and Meta Search Engines for Travelers,
• Group Buying, Couponing and Shopping Clubs.

How do we valuate a project

Our projects valuation is based on the following criteria (in priority order):

1. Team.
2. Technological potential.
3. Validity of technology and/or finished prototype.
4. Absence of claims for intellectual property.
5. Being open and honest and share the same interests as the fund team.
6. Unique competing advantages (Unfair Advantages).
7. Absence of serious debts and liabilities.
8. The minimum expected level of IRR (Internal Rate of Return) is 40%.
